Community Aide II (Temporary)


The Community Aide II (temporary) is an entry level position
responsible for assisting with the assessment, education and rehabilitation of
consumers participating in the program.

This is a temporary, part-time position which will work approximately 20 hours per week.


+ + Attends assigned staff
meetings, training and supervisory sessions. Provide input on consumer
involvement with the Peer Support Counselor.

+ Collaborates with Psychiatric
Rehabilitation Staff to determine ongoing rehabilitation needs and
development of the individualized Rehabilitation Plans.

+ Demonstrates effective use of
self to engage and role model interactions with consumers and staff.

+ Knowledge and implementation of
safety precautions.

+ Maintains on-going
communication with supervisors and appropriate staff concerning activities
for groups and individuals.

+ Meets regularly with Vocational
Counselor/Program Coordinator to discuss assessment and progress of
individual consumers.

+ Meets regularly with other
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Staff to develop, plan, implement and evaluate
services within the program and Services and Research for Recovery in
Serious Mental Illness.

+ Participate in on-going staff
development activities.

+ Participates with Program
Coordinator to identify individual learning needs.

+ Provides accurate documentation
of goal progress and services provided. Documents pertinent information
such as observations, interventions and consumer responses.

+ Pursues continuing education
for professional growth and development.

+ Reports pertinent clinical or
non-clinical needs or problems to appropriate administrative staff.

+ Works directly with consumers
performing orientation, monitoring progress, assessing and teaching skills
in all environments. Provides continuous feedback and ongoing support.
Works 1-1 or with a group.


+ High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ Prior human services/behavioral health experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ Act 34 Criminal Clearance or Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal

+ Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
