Position Description

The Department of Facilities Management AVC is seeking a qualified candidate for the Director of Facilities Work Control Center.

This position reports directly to the Facilities Management Assistant Vice Chancellor of Operations and Maintenance. The position manages and directs the activities of the Facilities Management Work Control Center (WCC). The WCC activities include oversight of the Facility Managers work group, administering the Facilities Management Computerized Maintenance Software (CMMS/TMA). Duties include receiving and facilitating all work orders, emergency calls, and maintenance requests, assigning work to the appropriate Facility Manager or trade for execution, and ensuring appropriate planning, estimating, and scheduling of non-emergency work performed by the in-house trade's and operating engineer personnel.
The incumbent will be responsible for creating reports and tracking the completion level of all work order activity and other activities as required.

Minimum Related Experience Level Required
10+ years experience

Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position

Bachelor in Engineering or Business preferred; 10 years related Facilities Operation and Maintenance experience would be considered.

10 years of experience preferred in a University or Hospital facilities management service environment. Knowledge and experience of Facilities Management Operations and Maintenance processes and procedures, estimating, and work scheduling. Experience with computer database, spreadsheet software, estimating software and CMMS scheduling software.

The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks may be required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
